"Limited" to a mere 500 pieces, Hung Hing Toys hurls another hunk of diecast at the faithful. Blissfully ignoring the obvious fact that a 6" lighter is perhaps rather (heaven forfend!) unrealistic, and determined to show that not only Bandai can milk a character license dry, HHT gives us the largest diecast transforming robot by any manufacturer, ever. And I do not use the words "largest" and "diecast" lightly. Clocking in at 11" in robot mode, Jumbo Gold Lightan is 99.9% gokin, making ABS compromises only in the wrist and shoulder joints. In lighter mode, he brings new meaning to our most beloved hyperbole "diecast brick".
Hell, this is Gold Lightan, so there's not a whole lot more to say about the toy design here. In fact, other than the size and the fact that the hands are diecast this time, there is very little to differentiate it from Hung Hing's
first solid effort. My only real gripe is that I would have preferred a crystal cut edition...which is sure to come about three minutes after I'm done posting this. Like the original, thoroughly recommended.
