Some catalog images from the 30th anniversary, 2006 Super Sentai, "GouGou Sentai Boukenger". The "gougou" means "roaring" or "thundering" (it's the same "gou" found in Gouraijin's name). Bouken is a word for "adventure" (you've heard of the "Time Bokan Series"). Yes, the theme is adventure -- they're looking for exotic treasure all over the world, and fighting the Precious organization!

The main robot, Daibouken, is formed from GouGou Dump, Dozer, Formula, Gyro, and MarineDiver. They have a combined transport mode called GouGou Trailer. The DX GouGou Gattai version of Daibouken is ten inches tall, and is expected in February for ¥7,140. Each component has gimmicks, from manipulator arms to missile launching action.

The first four "GouGou Gattai Series" of power up arms for DX Daibouken includes GouGou Drill, Shovel, Mixer, and Crane. These will retail for about twenty bucks, selling in March and April, with more to come. The Capsule Gattai version of Daibouken will feature an optional original combination not found in the DX toy.
