An anonymous shopper retrieves his 1:12 Scopedog from the TRU in Chiba. He reports the Scopedog has a nice matte finish, and is mostly molded in color rather than painted, and the markings are done mostly with decals rather than paint. The joints are described as solid and smooth.

While the buyer is overall pleased with the manufacturing quality, he does complain that the parting lines and gate marks are rather conspicuous, especially at this scale. Metal fans will be disappointed to learn the only diecast parts the buyer found were the hatch handle, knee step, and the two turnpicks -- the anchor spikes fired into the ground to facilitate turning, stopping, and station-keeping.
